Ahhh, January. The month of renewed mindsets and gym memberships. The time of year when everyone is charged up on the right amount of energy and motivation to take on new goals, ideas and opportunities — like car buying, for example. Perhaps you’re a first-time car buyer with no credit, or are looking to purchase a newer car model. Whatever the case may be, you’re ready to cruise through 2018 with the confidence, style and convenience that owning a car affords.

For many potential car buyers, dealers and auto groups around Detroit, the historical hub of the American auto industry, January is a time to indulge the latest car innovations at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Detroit has hosted NAIAS for more than a century, bringing some of the most progressive, futuristic auto technology from around the globe to the heart of the Motor City, where it all began.

Each year, a selection of vehicles are nominated to receive a prestigious award in the following categories: Car of the Year, Utility of the Year and Truck of the Year. The Chrysler Pacifica, which won 2017 Utility Vehicle of the Year, has been nominated for two more awards this year — Family Car of the Year and Eco-Friendly Car of the Year — along with the Honda Ridgeline (2017 Truck of the Year) and Chevy Bolt EV (2017 Car of the Year), respectively. Several more modern vehicles being showcased at this year’s show include the 2019 Acura RDX, 2019 BMW i8 Coupe, 2018 BMW X2, 2019 Chevy Silverado, 2019 Ford Ranger, 2019 Honda Insight and the 2019 Hyundai Veloster.

Do you plan on buying a new or used car this year? If so, are you looking to get a car loan or vehicle financing? Credit Acceptance is more than happy to help you get approved for your next car, regardless of bad credit or no credit.
