What can I do to protect my information?

Here are some steps you can take to keep your personal information safe and protect yourself from fraud:

How do I dispute something on my credit report?

In order for us to efficiently investigate a potential credit reporting inaccuracy, we recommend that you complete the Consumer Report Direct Dispute Form on our website, www.creditacceptance.com and mail it to the address noted in the form. You can find this by selecting Contact Us and clicking on Your Credit and Privacy under Customer Feedback and Complaints. We will communicate the results of our review within 30 days of receiving the completed form and all necessary supporting documentation. You can also dispute the information by filing a dispute directly with the consumer reporting agencies or credit reporting agency that provided your credit report.

What should I do if I suspect fraud?

If you’re ever suspicious about an email or text message, or if you suspect a call is not coming from us, call us at 1-800-634-1506.
