Credit Acceptance offers two (2) primary indirect subprime auto finance programs to dealers: the Portfolio and Purchase programs.

Portfolio Program

PORTFOLIO PROGRAM

The Portfolio Program accounts for the majority of our contracts at Credit Acceptance. With this program, dealers can get paid three ways:

  •  ADVANCE - You receive money up front, which typically allows you to cover your cost of the vehicle and provides for a modest upfront profit for each contract.
  •  PORTFOLIO PROFIT EXPRESS (PPE) - When you reach 100 contracts in a pool,* the pool caps and you are eligible to receive a Portfolio Profit Express payment, which is a percentage of your 80 percent share of the expected future collections on all 100 contracts in the capped pool. This serves as a mechanism to accelerate expected Portfolio Profit in the form of a Portfolio Profit Express check.
  •  PORTFOLIO PROFIT - Once the total Advance balance in the pool is repaid, 80% of everything we collect on all 100 deals in the capped pool is sent to you through monthly Portfolio Profit Checks.

*Each pool represents a subset of your total portfolio of contracts and serves as a mechanism to help accelerate expected Portfolio Profit, and to give you the opportunity to recieve an advance on that future profit in the form of a Portfolio Profit Express Check.

COLLECTION ONLY OPTION

COLLECTION ONLY OPTION

The Collection Only Option (a subset of the Portfolio Program) provides monthly cash flow (80% of every dollar collected) beginning with your customer’s first payment. Dealers may opt to use this option when certain stipulations cannot be met to receive an Advance (payment-to-income and other underwriting requirements still apply). It’s just like Buy Here Pay Here without the collection headaches.

PURCHASE PROGRAM

The Purchase Program provides a higher upfront advance than the Portfolio Program. Dealers may opt to use this program when a higher advance is desired at time of funding, or in environments with more traditional pay plans. Ask your Market Area Manager for program availability. With this program you make money one way:
